First Health of the Carolinas Patient Care Coordinator in Pinehurst, North Carolina

The primary objective of the Patient Care Coordinator is to proactively manage patient flow while assuring effective, quality care. This is a highly visible position within the organization that requires exceptional communication and organizational skills. In partnership with leadership, the Patient Care Coordinator supports the Labor and Delivery units daily patient care and personnel needs. Duties include leading shift huddles, ensuring accurate documentation, completing patient assignments, supporting daily operations, assuring staff meals, first-line resolution of patient/staff/provider complaints, elevating appropriate items to departmental leadership, event reporting unexpected outcomes. Additionally, the Patient Care Coordinators support organizational quality and throughput goals as well as completion of required daily reports and checklists. Qualifications: Required: Current North Carolina RN licensure (or compact state) Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Labor and Delivery Intermediate Fetal Monitoring NRP Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing (must complete within one year) OB-RN Certification (must sit for testing within two years if not certified)
