First Health of the Carolinas Administrative Director, Environmental Services in Pinehurst, North Carolina
The Administrative Director of Environmental Services (EVS) is responsible for leading Environmental Services at FirstHealth. This position serves an integral member of the leadership team and is responsible for the overall management of the Environmental Services department. The Administrative Director will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing best practices in EVS to maintain and enhance the cleanliness of our facilities. The Administrative Director of EVS will lead employees to achieve our cleanliness targets adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. They will need to operate in a matrixed environment with the ability to influence with or without direct authority while building strong relationships across FirstHealth. This person will need to quickly integrate into the organization and community to support our core purpose – to care for people. Working closely with all departments of responsibility, this leader will need to sustain and enhance employee engagement to further FirstHealth’s goal of being the best place to work. Graduation from an accredited college with a four-year degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related major. Five years management experience preferred with progressive supervisory experience in EVS. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory agencies such as Det Norske Veritas Healthcare (DNVHC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR) and other healthcare licensure guidelines preferred. Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional required or obtained within two years of hire.
