This position is contingent upon position availability

TheTechnical Writeris responsible for writing and revising change control documentation by current site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, revise, and publish procedures, plans, manuals, and hazard analyses for the engineering, chemical, biological, quality, and ammunition organizations of the United States Army’s Pine Bluff Arsenal.

  • Manage and implement the change process for controlled documents.

  • Participate in Hazard Analysis Work Group observation, discussion, and development activities.

  • Participate in process and procedure documentation, verification, and validation activities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree and 3+ years of general technical writing experience, including experience in developing standard operating procedures, technical specifications, proposals, and manuals.

  • Background check required

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook.

  • Well organized, an effective communicator at multiple levels, and able to grasp system concepts and communicate their applications.

  • Ability to quickly learn new quality systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of internal and/or external customers or employees.

  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
