COMMUNITY TRUST BANK INC Loan Credit Bureau/Research Analyst I in Pikeville, Kentucky

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Credit Bureau reporting to ensure compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other regulatory requirements:
Acquire knowledge of the Consumer Data Industry Association guidelines for accurate credit reporting of loan accounts.
Research and respond to Automated Consumer Dispute Verifications (ACDV) prior to the FCRA Response Due Date (Indirect disputes received from Credit Bureaus on behalf of Consumers).
Research and resolve disputes from Customers in a timely manner (Direct disputes both written and verbal).
Reconciliation of various credit reporting exception lists:
Experian Credit Bureaus Metric Report.
Core systems Credit Bureau Summary Report Exception List.
Ad hoc reports created to identify accounts with reporting code and/or amount discrepancies.
Interpret and analyze loan documentation to ensure proper recordation on Core Application system. This includes (but is not limited to):
Borrower(s) relationship to account.
Interest Rates.
Billing Schedules.
All other Terms as stated in loan documentation.
Provide excellent customer service taking necessary actions for problem resolution.
Assist with research of accounts which do not require credit reporting updates.
Review loan payment histories to ensure accurate application of payments.
Convert loan payment histories to Excel spreadsheet to verify accurate Core system allocation of all funds received.
Determine when a Customer inquiry for information may need to be reported as a complaint and follow-thru with Loan Credit Bureau/Research Analyst II or Supervisor to resolve the issue.
Work with various departments within the bank (ex: Legal, Loan Review, Collections, etc) to obtain information as needed.
Provide training as needed within Loan Operations.
Ensure all actions performed are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
Perform other duties within the department as assigned.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE
Position normally requires a Degree in Business Finance/Accounting or at least a minimum of five years experience with bank loan core processing system.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of a variety of subjects, such as: finance, business law, information technology, etc.
General banking knowledge.
Intermediate skill level with Excel and Word software.
Self-starter and self-motivated.
Detail-oriented.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to meet deadlines.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a production oriented atmosphere.
Works under minimal supervision based on demonstrated proficiency in carrying out assigned responsibilities.
Travel could be required.
May have irregular hours.
