JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of clerical duties, which may include research, overdrafts, adjustments, reconciling, computerized operations, courier, preparing statements, and reports.
Performs any combination of the following routine clerical duties depending on area assigned: files and/or alphabetizes items; cross indexes information; posts data to records; reconcile statements and accounts; monitor ACHs; handle overdraft services issues; address verifications; verifies statement balances; research; and investigate customer account issues.
May operate merchant deposit equipment, postage machines, inserting machines, branch capture machines, and general office equipment.
May perform or be cross-trained to perform a variety of clerical duties relating to deposit services including, but not limited to, check processing, deposit verifications, general ledger balancing, prepare data files, charge-off accounts, reclamations, confirmations, and monitor daily reports for overdraft services situations.
Monitoring and updating Excel spreadsheets.
Ensure all actions performed are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE
Position normally requires a high school diploma or GED plus such practical knowledge and skills as would be learned on the job and through training.
Over one and up to two years of experience is typically required to demonstrate proficiency in assigned tasks.
Excellent PC skills and keyboarding ability.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to lift 15 pounds several times daily.
Refers questionable matters to supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a production oriented atmosphere. Environment may be noisy. Temperature may fluctuate to maintain equipment in optimal conditions.
Works under regular supervision based on demonstrated proficiency in carrying out assigned responsibilities.
