Scheurer Health a critical access rural hospital is seeking a Part Time Helpdesk Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Competency: Maintain knowledge of IT methods and stay current with advancements in the field. 
  • Responsible for IT Service Management with a strong focus on first-call resolution and top-quality service.
  • Troubleshoots hardware, software, telecommunications, and network problems in person and remotely, resolving, and documenting solutions.
  • Creates and maintains end user documentation (e.g., knowledge base articles).
  • Escalates problems and changes to Network and Service Operations team or vendors.
  • Configures and maintains workstation hardware, software, telecommunications, media equipment, and peripherals per established procedures.
  • Monitors and maintains workstation security and patches
  • Maintains inventory of all supported workstations, software, and telecommunications items.
  • Creates, maintains, and deactivates user accounts.
  • Documents all work requests and interactions in ITSM tool.
  • Supports technical projects throughout the project lifecycle. May be requested to be IT lead on routine projects.
  • Works with Information Technology vendors and third parties.
  • Provides IT after hour support 24/7 to Hospital operations per on-call schedule or as required by leader.
  • Supports the department in meeting organizational, unit, and strategic objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year of related experience in Information Technology, systems, and network administration
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, influencing people experience, relationship management and facilitation skills.
  • Broad knowledge of current healthcare security standards and security frameworks.
  • Strong Customer Orientation
