The National Security Sector at Leidos is looking for an Electrical Engineer to provide technical support to the US Army Combat Capability Development Command, DEVCOM Armaments Center (AC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, for ongoing technical programs.

Your Main Mission:

The candidate will commence work with other members of the Integrated Product team as it transitions from the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) stage to Production. Duties include troubleshooting technical issues in the lab; monitoring production at contractor facilities; investigating production issues; preparing/reviewing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Request for Variations (RFVs); preparing technical recommendations to other DEVCOM AC offices/JPEO A&A customers; managing technical drawings; and preparing quarterly briefings. Travel to government or production facilities is required up to 20% of the time.

Typical Duties include:

  • Participate in IPT meetings and execute assigned tasks.

  • Support technical reviews, perform data analysis.

  • Perform electronic laboratory testing & analysis

  • Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Conduct site visits to contractor facilities and test sites.

  • Provide status updates on assigned programs.

  • Review/prepare acquisition type documentation such as Statement of Work (SOW), cost estimate, evaluate contractor submitted proposal, etc.

  • Review/process Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Request for Variations (RFVs).

  • Review data submittals from contractors, e.g. Acceptance Inspection Equipment (AIE), root cause corrective action reports, test plans, ECPs, RFVs, etc.

  • Provide support to product improvement efforts.

  • Participate in malfunction investigations.

  • Review or prepare briefing material.

What Sets You Apart:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience with circuit design, basic electronic bench equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, signal generators, etc), and circuit troubleshooting.

  • Ability to work independently and with a team of people. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Document results in the form of technical reports and communicate with other IPT members and external customers.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Must have US citizenship.

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance upon hire.

You Might Also Have:

  • Experience with electronics CAD software such as Altium Designer is beneficial.

  • Knowledge of embedded devices such as ASICs and microcontrollers or FPGAs & their related programming is highly beneficial.

Clearance Required:

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance within 60 days of hire.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00
