Position Title: Department Manager - Wine Steward

Department: Wine & Spirits

Supervisor: Assistant Branch Manager / Branch Manager

FLSA: Non-exempt (paid by the hour)

Position Summary: Manages the Wine & Spirits department in the branch. Responsible for receiving product, ensuring that aisles are stocked, clean and well-merchandised, following compliance policies and providing helpful customer service.

Key Tasks:

  • Follow state laws regarding the wholesale selling of alcohol (Restaurant Depot provides training and sets policies)

  • Ensure the department is ready for business

  • Keep shelves well-stocked with product

  • Build and maintain floor displays to highlight items

  • Ensure accurate price tags are posted for each item

  • Work with other branch personnel to attract new customers to the department

  • Help customers find relevant wine and spirits products to purchase

  • Communicate inventory needs and customer requests to buyer

Requirements:

  • Basic Outlook and Excel skills

  • Strong communication skills, multi-lingual a plus

  • Ability to lift/carry and stock shelves
