About the Position

It\'s election season, and we need your help! Election season is a crucial time for accuracy and expediency. If you want to be a part of one of the most important government tasks, this position is for you!

The Temporary Training coordinator administers arrangements and logistics related to the training of elections support staff. Reporting to the Training Manager, the Temporary Training Coordinator maintains current and historical course information, prepares and distributes pre-class materials, and manages invitation follow-up with participants and course completion records. This employee also schedules classes, supports trainers as needed, and co-facilitates classes with Elections Trainers once knowledge is obtained.

We Require

  • Two years of experience performing office, administrative, and clerical duties
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Postgraduate degrees or professional-level-related experience may substitute for education or experience on a year-for-year basis
  • Must be registered or eligible to register to vote in Arizona

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures, such as managing files and records
  • Experience supporting election activities
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience presenting information to peer groups and/or public speaking

Job Contributions

  • Assist with training operations for over 2,000 poll workers in many locations
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of training records and learning management system for poll workers, including account setups, reactivations, password resets, online course assignments, attendance, and training surveys.
  • Monitor training inbox and respond to emails from poll workers; monitor voicemail and call poll workers to assist with login issues or challenges completing online training
  • Manage enrollments and send reminder emails to poll workers for in-person classes
  • Assist with building packets and binders with site-specific resources for inspectors, troubleshooters, and hotline workers
  • With coaching, co-facilitate training classes with Elections Trainers
  • Assist with setting up, packing, and transporting training materials to and from training locations
  • Assi t with the distribution of training materials and collection and entry of training survey data
  • Provide guidance to poll workers, answer questions via hotline phone, and enter tickets and dispatch assistance to locations via the ticketing system.

Working Conditions

  • Travel to offsite training facilities
  • Overtime is mandatory during the PPE/Primary/General Elections, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift floor-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-waist a minimum of 25 pounds and carry for 100 feet
  • Ability to push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds for 200 feet
