Overview and Essential Functions

A national leader in the telecommunication industry is looking for Supervisor Fulfillment Labor Underground to join our team. We provide experienced and reliable customer service professionals to the nation’s leading telecommunications providers! As a leader, you will mentor, support, and grow your team as they connect America.

The Residential Fiber Installation Field Supervisor will be responsible for a variety of tasks and projects as assigned. Typical tasks will range in size and complexity. This position will assist the Project Manager with various large scale projects and tasks as needed and may potentially take the lead on upcoming projects as assigned by the customer.

What you will do:

  • Supervise a team of FTTH in-home and SMB installation technicians

  • Coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of field staff.

  • Coordinate scheduling, assist dispatch with daily job routing and ensure adequate staffing.

  • Identify problem areas in the department and communicate problems and possible solutions to the Project Manager.

  • Develop procedures and implement them to better organize the team/department.

  • Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to technicians.

  • Assist in recruitment and training efforts.

  • Assist in warehousing and logistics support as needed to supplement the warehouse staff

  • Establish, implement, and maintain operating standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.

  • Track employee performance, tool assignments, vehicle assignments, uniforms, consumable items, etc. through the creation and use of spreadsheets and other documents

  • Perform quality control inspections to correct and coach any issues found

  • Interface with customers to resolve complaints and damages resulting from installation work

  • Perform various field technician duties as needed, including but not limited to, carrying and climbing a ladder when necessary.

  • Perform other duties not listed here, as they arise, and as they are assigned to you.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 1 year fiber optic or cable installation experience.

  • Ability to perform mandatory job site inspections to ensure employee compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • Ability to work a very flexible schedule.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced time sensitive environment

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and last-minute changes

  • Exceptional customer service experiences

  • Team player.

  • Former supervisory experience a plus.

  • Valid driver's license with minimum of 2 years driving experience and a good driving record.
