Honeywell Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer - Avionics in Phoenix, Arizona

Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell Aerospace. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will be involved in every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements analysis and decomposition

  • Systems design, integration, and test

  • Model based development

  • Systems validation & verification

  • Provide engineering support to multiple groups and products including FMS, CMF, CMCF, ACMF, IMMR and ERS

  • Work within an Integrated Test Bench environment

  • Software loading and troubleshooting of B777X and B787 system bench

  • Work with of ARINC 664 and 429 protocols

  • Knowledge of Boeing 777-9 and 787 avionics architectures

  • Interact with Honeywell customers and program stakeholders

  • Some project oversight and coordination

  • Some budget/schedule responsibility

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

  • 8+ years of systems, software, or aerospace engineering experience

  • Master’s degree in engineering, science, or business

  • Knowledge of systems, software, and hardware development lifecycle

  • Experience with avionics, flight controls, or related aircraft systems

  • Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts.

  • Diverse and global teaming and collaboration skills

  • Self-motivated individuals able to work with little supervision

  • Ability to adapt dictated by project changes

  • Multi-tasking and the ability to manage a number of complex tasks

  • Familiarity with Honeywell Integrated Product Delivery System (IPDS)
