Honeywell is hiring engineers in the areas of design, analysis, controls, test, and project management to accomplish this challenging new feat.

Outstanding opportunity for a mechanical Engineer with Gas Turbine experience interested in joining our Turbine team. The scope of the work will include new product design, analysis, lifting and testing support of gas turbine components for new designs, redesigns and to resolve field related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced knowledge of stress, fatigue, creep, burst, crack growth, and probabilistic lifing, as applied to turbine component design.

  • Mechanical design and analysis expertise for specific turbines components like cooled nozzles and seal plates in addition to disk and blades.

  • Conceive, design, and execute complex axial turbine related technical projects which involve different mechanical disciplines such stress, vibration, heat transfer, and lifing analyses.

  • Implement 2D and 3D finite element modeling techniques using analytical tools such as ANSYS.

  • Knowledge and experience applying DFSS methodology in the design and analysis of turbine components.

  • Effectively support complex projects involving multiple organizations to successfully complete all assignments.

  • Support engine tests and functional tests for engine certification or RCCA efforts.

  • Support continuous process improvement projects within the organization.

Communicate technical results to internal and external customers.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • B. S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in the Gas Turbine Industry

WE VALUE

  • Advanced knowledge of ANSYS for stress analysis including the creation of finite element models from CAD solid models and the creation of solid models.

  • Knowledge of MATLAB and Python programing

  • Proficient in using NX, APDL, MATLAB, DARWIN.

  • Effectively work in a self-directed team environment to deliver customers requirements on time.

  • Strong teamwork skills, able to work in variety of team roles within cross-functional team.

  • Must be dedicated to customer satisfaction and demonstrated the capability to establish and maintain strong business and personal relationships with customers and co-workers.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
