Job Summary

As an HVAC Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functioning of control components on environmental chambers within our industrial production facility. Your responsibilities will encompass the installation, servicing, and repair of environmental chambers integrated into our clean factory environment. This role will require expertise in addressing a diverse range of control components associated with industrial production-related equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair controls and components on environmental chambers, primarily on industrial production-related equipment in a clean factory environment.

  • Perform break/fix repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance of heating and cooling systems, including lubricating bearings, changing filters, replacing belts, maintaining electrical and pneumatic controls, and compressor replacement.

  • Be responsible for condensers, heat pumps, furnaces, and air handlers on systems that achieve extreme high and low temperatures.

  • Track refrigerant use and follow EPA requirements. Manage work orders and document use of all refrigerants including amounts, volume, and types.

  • Communicate with department Supervisor and Site Leadership on equipment repair issues and status as needed.

  • Schedule and plan maintenance-related projects to include pricing material lists and equipment needs. Demonstrate efficient and effective problem-solving skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • MUST BE ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY (Skillbridge Applicant)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must have at least 5 years of direct industry (HVAC/Refrigeration) related professional experience.

  • Must possess a Universal EPA certification or be able to obtain certification with-in 9 months.

  • Requires knowledge and experience in refrigeration theory, plumbing/pipefitting and structural layout.

  • Must be able to diagnose/troubleshoot and repair problems with heating/cooling systems and controls for environmental test chambers.

  • Must have knowledge of all types of refrigerants, ventilation equipment and systems.

  • Must be efficient in evacuating and charging refrigerant systems in accordance with all applicable laws and company standards and requirements.

  • Welding, brazing and soldering skills required.

  • Must be able to read and interpret schematic drawings and blueprints to effectively carry out work assignments.

  • Must have basic computer knowledge and skilled in the use of Teams, Excel and Outlook.

  • Be able to work overtime and support after hours maintenance related emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional education or related vocational certifications.

  • Experience with using a (CMMS) computerized maintenance management software.
