Position Overview:

Living and Balance Wellness Center, located in Phoenix, Arizona, is currently seeking a Skills Trainer, also known as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) or Behavioral Coach, to enhance our services for underserved youth aged 6-17. This role focuses on teaching essential life skills, promoting emotional well-being, and supporting family dynamics to help youth achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of expertise, compassion, and a commitment to our values of collaboration, integrity, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement coaching plans that include executive function skills to help youth manage time and organize, plan, and prioritize tasks.
  • Facilitate individual and group sessions, focusing on practical life skills and emotional and psychological support.
  • Actively collaborate with families, providing them with tools and strategies to enhance their interactions and support systems at home.
  • Regularly communicate with each childs family team, delivering progress updates and adjusting coaching plans based on comprehensive feedback.
  • Manage a caseload of 2-6 children tailored to meet the specific needs of the area, the families involved, and the business requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • MINIMUM 2 yearsof experience in behavioral health, with a specific focus on child and adolescent development.
  • Capability to use personal devices (phone and laptop) for secure access to company portals.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.

Required Credentials and Availability:

  • Current tuberculosis (TB) test.
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Unrestricted AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Valid Drivers License with an impeccable driving record.
  • Availability from Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 8 PM.
