Amazon Senior Program Manager, Regional Fleet Operations, Global Fleet & Products in Phoenix, Arizona

Description

The Global Fleet and Products organization is responsible for managing and growing the Amazon Last Mile Fleet. This team is looking for a Senior Program Manager, Regional Fleet Operations to ensure world-class vehicle safety and 100% mission capable vehicles and guide strategic, tactical, cross-functional, and technology projects and programs for Amazon Rural Super Rural (RSR) delivery stations

**Travel for this role will be approximately 40-70%

**This person will support the Western United States and permanent work site will be required to be in that region.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead full life-cycle of complex cross-functional projects and programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations

• Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment.

• Seek to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions

• Partner with customers, internal/external teams, and engineering teams to determine what projects move forward and in what priority order

• Oversee gaps between teams, processes and systems, helping teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood or documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, long-term impact(s) from third-party solutions, security not considered, insufficient stakeholder review, etc.)

• Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects

• Work proactively to mitigate risks before they become roadblocks

• Measure and manage performance to daily metrics as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for multiple Delivery Station Fleets to maintain the world’s safest and fully mission capable vehicles

• Partner with Amazon Operations leaders, Delivery Service Partners (DSP), and program teams to source, allocate, and coordinate resources to achieve business goals

• Engage Operations and DSP teams on standard work and best practices and maintain accountability to Fleet standards with in station presence, audits, and coaching

• Synchronize with third party companies to ensure Best in Class service is provided to the Amazon Fleet

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
