ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Engineer at the Phoenix Engines site, you will serve as a functional HSE expert, providing safety & health leadership and technical support to the facility. Work within robust operating and management systems to reduce risk. Strengthen systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and Honeywell requirements. You will partner with business leaders and employees to continuously improve HSE culture, awareness, and accountability to support business objectives.

Sr. HSE Engineer will work full time at the Phoenix Engines facility located at 111 S. 34th St., Phoenix, AZ 85034.

Key Responsibilities:

•Management and continual improvement of safety and health programs, including Contractor Safety, Machine Safeguarding, Electrical Safety, Line Break, Hot Work, and Mechanical Integrity.

•You will be the site subject matter expert for managing overall safety and health compliance for an aircraft engine manufacturing and testing facility.

•Integrate HSE processes and safe work practices into daily operations.

•Lead HSE initiatives and continuous HSE improvement as an integrated business partner to support the achievement of site goals and ensure zero harm to everyone.

•Drive Excellence and engagement in HSE through management, leadership, employee involvement, worksite risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, and HSE training.

•Deploy and manage safety & health initiatives to continually improve the performance of programs and processes.

•Develop and implement environmental and safety programs to maintain compliance with all HSE regulatory and company requirements.

•Maintain oversight and project management of safety & health-related capital projects.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

YOU MUST HAVE

•High School Diploma or GED

•7+ years of HSE programs management experience

•HSE programs experience

WE VALUE

•Safety & Health related bachelor’s degree

•Expert-level knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, & Safety and Health programs.

•Working knowledge of local and Federal Safety & Health regulations

•Professional certifications such as ASP, SMS, CSP

•Manufacturing/ Aerospace industry experience
