Honeywell Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing advanced software solutions for our Aerospace business. You will be involved in designing and coding low-level embedded software, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality standards are met. Your expertise in software development and problem-solving skills will be crucial in driving innovation and delivering exceptional results.

Join our team at Honeywell Aero Platforms Software COE, where you will design, develop, and integrate highly complex software functions. As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will provide technical expertise in identifying and developing new products. You will also work on proposals for future business opportunities, value engineering, and program/process changes. Your role will be instrumental in driving and implementing goals and objectives, making you the primary technical authority recognized by business management.

Reporting directly to our Senior Engineering Manager, you will be based in our Phoenix, AZ location and work on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the development of cutting-edge software solutions that enhance the performance and safety of aerospace systems. You will work on complex projects, collaborating with a team of talented engineers to deliver high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of low level embedded software utilizing the C/C++ programming language and running on microcontrollers • RTOS skills • Working in platform COE, multicore, cash partitioning. • Requirements and design • Software architecture and coding • Integration • Certification • Test • Feature Definition • Customer Support • Verification and Validation • Ability to code in multiple languages • Analytical skills & software development skills

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorizationYOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics • 6+ years of experience in Embedded Platform software development, including low-level hardware drivers, communications, and Real-Time Operating System integration • Experience in RTOS, controllers and associated tooling performed to DO-178C level A standards.
