U-Haul is seeking dedicated, energized sales professionals to work remotely (work from home) who handle back-to-back inbound calls, matching U-Haul products and services with Customer needs. Sales & Reservations Agents work within defined guidelines, including following a script and advisories, to facilitate a seamless and efficient Reservation process and Customer journey.

Job Requirements:

  • Applicants must apply by July 31st, 2024.

  • All Seasonal work assignments end on September 30th, 2024.

  • Part-Time or Full-Time permanent positions may be offered upon assignment completion.

  • Must be able to commit to and work for at least 8 weeks.

  • Must be able to commit to and work 25 to 40 hours per week.

  • Availability of 30 or more hours is preferred.

  • Must be able to work at least one 8-hour shift on a weekend day per week.

  • Availability on both weekend days is preferred.

  • Available shifts (all in Arizona time):

  • Monday, Thursday, & Friday: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM

  • Saturday & Sunday: 4:00 AM - 10:00 PM

  • Working Company observed holidays is required to provide service and support to Customers year-round.

  • On said holidays, scheduling outside your availability to meet business needs may be required.

  • Hours are not guaranteed. Schedules may fluctuate based on demand and call volume.

    Initial Education/Training: Our paid, comprehensive, three-week education program is fast paced and builds upon your existing skill set to prepare you to independently serve U-Haul Customers. Education includes Instructor-led class discussions, role-play, games, simulations, videos, and e-learning modules through U-Haul University. Our Instructors have all been on the front-line; therefore, relate and will help support and prepare you as you begin to perform your job duties, including taking Customer calls the first week.

    Compensation: Earn hourly base pay of $13.00 plus discretionary sales bonus, with the potential to earn $17-20 per hour (Note: Hourly base pay rate may be higher, depending on state or local minimum wage laws).

    Minimum Experience:

  • One year of Customer Service or Sales experience in a retail setting/environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (clear speaking voice, excellent verbal communication, and active listening skills).

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, including navigating through and using multiple business software applications.

  • Successful completion of a job-related assessment is required.

    Work From Home Requirements:

  • All work duties, including initial education, must be performed at your home address in a private, quiet work area.

  • Dependent and child-care arrangements must be made as if you were working in-person in an office environment. This position does not allow flexibility to be on-call care for others during work hours, either.

  • The use of a personal home computer is required and meets the technical requirements (below). Your designated computer must be used during the application process and the same computer used to perform your job duties.

  • Manager approval is required if you need to change your designated computer.

    The following technical requirements must be met to work from home:

  • 8 GB of RAM/memory, or higher

  • The Processor must have a CPU benchmark score of 2,000, or higher

    Additional Hardware:

  • Webcam (external or built in)

  • Ping under 100

  • 10 MB download

  • 5 MB upload
