The Product Development Manager manages resources and schedules (both internally and externally) for the development and maintenance of construction documents related to AH4R’s architectural projects. This position monitors and tracks project progress, aged accounts, invoicing, and budgets, and is responsible for overall project performance and profitability of several projects concurrently. In addition, this position builds, maintains and manages relationships with vendors and outsourced consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages all production resources necessary for architectural projects; manages schedules for assigned projects for on-time delivery; ensures adherence to company-wide product processes and standards for assigned projects; forecasts drafting work and durations for all projects

  • Provides quality control oversight to ensure quality of construction documents delivered to the field; adheres to established quality control processes

  • Ensures adherence to Master and Division plan catalogs; ensures homes are built to Common Plan Catalog Construction Documents.

  • Manages Engineering outsources for assigned projects; coordinates HVAC and Fire Suppression Engineering needs as required by municipal requirements.

  • Provides leadership direction to CAD resources for assigned projects; communicates assigned project schedules

  • Maintains overall outsourced relationships; coordinates appropriate outsource staffing needs to meet assigned project CAD requirements

    Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Architectural or Construction experience. Experience must include:

  • Construction Document development

  • Project Management

  • Outsource Management

  • Residential construction techniques

  • Building Codes, plans and specifications

  • Federal and State codes related to residential home production

  • Knowledge of structural elements and product installation means and methods

  • Working knowledge of AutoCad and Microsoft Office required

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Drafting experience preferred

  • Knowledge of lean, value engineering and costing principles and practices a plus

  • This position can sit out of Las Vegas, NV or Phoenix, Arizona
