Honeywell Principal Project Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

As an APU Controls Principal Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in leading and managing APU Controls projects within the Aerospace business unit. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace technologies and make a significant impact in the industry. You will report directly to our Sr Eng Program Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the future of aerospace by:

  • Leading cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define project objectives and deliverables.

  • Managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

  • Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage complex projects from initiation to completion

  • Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria

  • Develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure effective communication and collaboration

  • Monitor project progress and identify and resolve any issues or risks

  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management or engineering role

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results
