We are currently seeking an experienced Account Manager to initiate, maintain, cultivate and grow long-term business relationships with key customers in the Arizona/Las Vegas territory. This is an excellent sales opportunity with great growth potential. Join our team!

Job Summary

Support current accounts and generate new accounts within the assigned sales territory. Exceed established sales quotas. Manage high level of customer service and maintain positive business relationships.

Position Responsibilities

  • Initiate, maintain, cultivate and grow long-term business relationships with key customers;

  • Prospect for new business opportunities;

  • Responsible for the clear and complete communication of product information including features, benefits positioning, limitations, pricing and availability;

  • Further responsible for communicating and establishing strategic concepts designed to help grow the customer’s business;

  • Establish educational seminars for both the principal(s) and staff of the customer’s business covering both business and product concepts;

  • Initiate and/or support promotional activities on behalf of customers such as frame “trunk” shows;

  • Identify and report on the needs of the customer to company management; work with company management to develop programs to satisfy those needs and assist customer in the execution of those programs.

Experience/Qualifications

  • B. A. Degree with emphasis on business related fields;

  • 5 years Optical Industry experience; including working in or calling on retail optical businesses; 3 years current wholesale experience a must;

  • Working knowledge of CRM software tools a plus;

  • ABO Certification desirable;

  • Comparable work experience in lieu of above

  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain close business relationships;

  • Ability to analyze and understand business and financial issues;

  • Ability to analyze and understand strategic marketing plans & implement fully;

  • Ability to build and demonstrate computer generated spreadsheets;

  • Ability to work independently with only general supervision;

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills;

  • Must have a strong territory customer base;

  • Ability to travel, with up to 50% overnight travel required

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that complies with the Walman Optical Company Motor Vehicle Policy;

  • Must be able to lift and or move up to 50 Lbs.
