USAA Manager, Bank Operations in Phoenix, Arizona
Purpose of Job
Directly manages resources and operations for a designated process or program within Bank Operations including but not limited to Disputes, Credit Cards, Deposits, and/or Underwriting for the attainment of business goals and objectives. Fosters collaboration and leads employees and teams to achieve a shared member service vision. Proactively identifies, develops, recommends, and implements improvements to products, processes and delivery of service. Organizes and leads the execution of operational and strategic business plans.
We are currently seeking a talented Manager, Bank Operations for the San Antonio Home Office II/III or the Phoenix Campus.
Maintains knowledge of relevant regulatory environment to ensure compliance across area of responsibility.
Identifies risks for assigned process or program and ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively measured, monitored, and controlled.
Monitors processes and identifies opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and performance standards to ensure that operations are efficient in terms of resources and effective in terms of meeting member and organizational requirements.
Oversees and monitors day to day transaction processing and/or servicing in order to achieve optimal productivity by managing workload volumes, staffing, training needs, and identifying and implementing appropriate solutions.
Coordinates complex operational issues and/or resolution of member escalations.
Manages resources across all teams to achieve service and relationship goals to include supervision of internal employees, contractors and managing third party vendor relationships.
Builds and manages a high performing team of professionals by staffing, training, coaching, and developing and managing performance.
Demonstrates strong leadership, motivational and interpersonal skills and models these qualities to employees, peers and upper management.
Bachelor's Degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a Degree.
6 or more years of related experience in bank operations to include program/project management, process improvement, or business analysis.
2 or more years direct team lead or management experience providing coaching, development and/or leadership in a team-oriented environment.
Strong understanding of performance reports
Consumer Leadership experience with proven coaching skills
Currently enrolled or Graduate of USAA MCS
Proven process improvement identification and solution recommendations
Experience influencing and inspiring a team to take on a challenge or initiative to optimize daily operations
Experience with peer to peer development
