Job Description

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Supervisor LOCATION: Phoenix, AZ / Huntsville, AL / Mesquite, TX

FLSA: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

POSITION OVERVEW & PURPOSE:\ \ The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the Maintenance department in performing highly diversified duties to install,\ troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems,\ and processes to support the achievement of the companys business goals and objectives. The Maintenance Supervisor works under the\ supervision of the Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage, direct and coordinate activities of Phoenix site for all functions related to the maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Perform highly diversified duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and\ repair of production machines as well as installing and maintaining production CNC machines and the plant facilitys equipment.

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and off-production hours

Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during production and off-production hours

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

Mentor Maintenance personnel in their professional growth and assist with the onboarding/training process of new team\ members & temps on the safe use of equipment, following Maintenance processes, and safety procedures/protocols.

Support The Mesker Way, FUNdamentals, and lead by example.

Encourage positive behavior and team safety through adherence to and enforcement of safety guidelines, company policies and\ continuous improvement.

Maintain discipline and consistent practices across team; provide progressive discipline where appropriate; engage human\ resources as needed.

Communicate with Human Resources about any recruitment opportunities and vacancies.

Provide a team-oriented environment where every team member can be seen, be heard and feel connected.

Other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be able to handle/lift to 50 pounds.

Must be able to stand in place for extended amount of time.

Must be able to perform actions such as twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching.

Must be able to work with proper PPE safety equipment.

Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience

Familiar with machine shop operations and machinery. Also familiar with electrical/electronic troubleshooting equipment.

High School diploma/GED or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.

AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.

Knowledge of variable frequency drive controls.

Basic math skills required.

Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.

Be/become certified on the forklift and other movable equipment.

Ability to work independently and cooperate with other members of the team.
