Position: Logistics Support

Role

An employee in the Logistics Support role performs work involving receiving, stocking, inventorying, and issuing materials and supplies. Tasks require some physical labor in the loading and unloading of goods received and to be delivered. Work is routine and directed by established procedures with instructions for new and unusual assignments. Reports directly to the Logistics Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and checking deliveries to ensure that the correct quantity and type of material is delivered.

  • Signing delivery BOL or packing list upon receipt of shipments.

  • Follow procedures for proper handling of equipment and materials.

  • Unpacking, verifying quantities, and stocking ordered materials as needed.

  • Report any discrepancies and/or damages.

  • Follow safety procedures for operation of forklift, hand trucks, and pallet jack.

  • Loading and unloading equipment by way of a forklift and/or hand truck for technicians or vendors.

  • Pulling and staging equipment and/or materials for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) installations.

  • Maintains inventory records and tracking systems.

  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.

  • Performs daily inventory replenishments for all departments.

  • Monitors activities in warehouse to insure proper recording of outgoing materials.

  • Adjusts inventory levels to reflect receipts and disbursements.

  • Completes warranty claims promptly and notifies supervisor when items need to be returned to a vendor.

  • Performing supply house runs to pick up orders, return warranty claims to vendors, and/or return other materials to vendors.

  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization. Sweep warehouse floors, dump trash bins, pick up debris, remove obstacles for fire safety.

  • Perform accurate inventory audits for warehouse and company vehicle locations.

  • Pickup orders and return warranty claims to vendors.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or general education diploma (GED).

  • Experience or training in operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, etc.

  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems.

  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.

  • Good organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and critical thinking.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 75 lbs. and work in various climate conditions.

  • Valid Arizona driver license.

  • Good driving record.

  • Good customer service skills.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment in hot/humid conditions on a regular basis.

  • Exerting over 100 lbs. occasionally, 50-100 lbs. frequently, or up to 0-50 lbs. constantly

  • Day shift, Monday-Friday, some weekends required during summer
