  • Summary of Responsibilities

The human resources project manager is responsible for assisting with general administrative duties regarding onboarding, background screening, compliance auditing and other projects as assigned. Communicates with all associates at varying levels within the organization, on a variety of human resources related issues while upholding standard company confidentiality practices.

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives

· Review and interpret candidate background check results to ensure Avenue5 hiring standards are met.

· Run daily, weekly and monthly audits to ensure compliance and accuracy of data.

· Upload required HR documentation to the human resources information system.

· Respond to associate inquiries as related to new hire and onboarding processes.

· Assist in scheduling interviews for future associates with the recruiting team and hiring manager.

· Facilitate the on-boarding process for new associates, working in conjunction with the hiring manager.

· Assist with maintenance of job boards and applicant tracking system as needed.

· Support hiring events by scheduling and corresponding with applicants.

· Provide clerical and administrative support for leadership, such as coordinating meeting and training logistics, handling heavy scanning/copying/mailing projects, arranging conference calls, scheduling large meetings and creating and maintaining paper and electronic files.

· Work closely with payroll team to ensure data integrity prior to biweekly payroll close.

· Administer the E-Verify work authorization.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

· High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

· One to three years of property management experience is preferred.

· One to three years of human resources experience preferred.

Skills and Requirements

· Very strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills to effectively and sensitively communicate with all levels of management.

· Intermediate level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

· Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.

· Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English.

· Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system.

· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others.

· Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment.

Scheduling

· Typically, normal business hours.

Environment

· Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions (temperatures may vary depending on the weather in the different regions).

· Exposure to noise, vibrations, atmospheric conditions, as well as working in confined or restricted spaces.

· Potential exposure to communicable diseases through frequent contact with public.

· Possible exposure to short-tempered or aggressive people.

· Potential exposure to chemicals, electrical shock, heights, mechanical parts or machines, and fire.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to walk around the property several times daily, up to 10 miles a day.

· Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.

· Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.

· Ability to use standard maintenance equipment.

· Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
