We are currently seeking a skilled Controller to join the team and oversee financial operations.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Controller to manage financial activities and ensure the financial health of the organization. This role will involve overseeing accounting, payroll, and financial reporting functions, as well as providing strategic guidance to senior management.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support business objectives.

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.

  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to optimize financial performance.

  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior management for decision-making.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise the accounting and finance team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment to achieve departmental goals.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for professional development.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets for accuracy and completeness.

  • Coordinate external audits and facilitate the resolution of audit findings.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial plans and objectives.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles, financial analysis, and reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Experience in the construction industry or related field is a plus.
