All Things Metal CNC Machine Operator in Phoenix, Arizona

All Things Metal is a seven-times best places to work award winner. We are seeking a dedicated CNC plasma operator to join our team! This person will be responsible for setting up and operating our CNC plasma cutting tables and robotic beam line. 

All Things Metal is a fast-paced environment with an existing culture in a challenging industry. We are looking for individuals to help take us to the next level and that are here to stay. This isn't a temporary position where you'll be laid off in a couple months after you complete a job.

Description of Duties and Job Responsibilities:

· Load and unload the burning table using forklift with chains or magnet

· Remove cut product from the table, stack on pallets or place in bins, and ensure timely delivery to the next department as required

· Program and operate plasma cutter

· Program and set up using proper gases and cutting tips

· Generate multiple part nestings

· Perform routine maintenance including cleaning machine and workspace

· Work in accordance to established safety rules and good housekeeping practices

· Work on additional equipment or tasks outside the job description as directed by the Plant Manager

· Perform all necessary quality checks during production and follow procedures when defective parts are discovered

· Complete daily production reports accurately

· Safety Sensitive Position

· Must be able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

· 1+ years of experience programming and operating a CNC controlled plasma cutting system 

· Experience with reach fork lifts, basic hand tools, tape measure.

· Experience using basic CAD and nesting

· Able to read interpret blue prints and understand part tolerances per print specification

· Experience with DXY,DWG, and various print file types

· Must be able to drive a forklift and safely handle materials

Technical Skills & Competencies:

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and make decisions based on them

· Excellent communication skills

· Forklift equipment and crane operation skills
