System One Business Systems Analyst in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Title Business Systems Analyst - Contractor

Job Location - Phoenix – Hybrid, 2-3 times per week

Job Duration – 6 Months plus

Job Summary:

The main function is to analyze science, engineering, business and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. Responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers.

• Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.

• Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.

• Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.

Required Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

• Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time.

• Basic knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models.

• Basic knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required or equivalent work experience required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.

• 3-5 years experience required.

Must have technical skills/experience (ask for alternative/tool/version):

• Ability to establish a central repository to provide API inventory - Classification, Ownership, Rating

• Knowledge of API platforms

• Apigee

• DataPower

• Use of SharePoint, Microsoft Office, etc.

Flex Skills:

Knowledge of confluence, knowledge of other API management products, Apache

Soft skills that would make a candidate successful in this role:

Strong communication skills both written and verbal, punctuality, reliability, critical thinking and problem solving skills

Years of experience: Level 2 3-5 years
