Keep Our Forklifts Charged and Operational!

We currently have a morning and mid-shift schedule available.

This position is responsible for repairing and recharging batteries for all electric-operated warehouse equipment.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintaining a safe working environment at all times by reporting possible concerns to lead person or supervisor.
  • Washing all batteries on an ongoing schedule.
  • Removing and replacing battery connectors and contact tips.
  • Adding water to obtain specified concentration.
  • Attaching leads from charger to battery posts and starting charger.
  • Safely cleaning up electrolyte spills.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Regularly reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl
