We excel at what we do for our customers, our employees, and the world.Shift Times: 2nd Monday through Friday 4:00pm to 12:30am In addition to the noted Pay range, there is also a 10% Shift differential for those on the 2nd ShiftPOSITION SUMMARY: The Machine Operator manually inspects completed plastics parts and packs them into boxes for shipping. Seals boxes, prints labels and stacks full boxes on pallets. May operate machines. May train Inspector/Packer I’s. Operates in a safe manner and keeps work area clean and organized. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Sets up station with the correct process inspection documents, screens, and/or workflow instructions.Package and label product in accordance of the standard operating procedure.Documents production, calculating the number of products inspected and rejected.Communicates any process problems to the Process Technician/Shift Supervisor/ Group LeadFill out Quality hourly paperworkIn process inspection: Inspection consists of frequent examination of the visual attributes of each product (discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination sinks, splay, delamination, etc.Packing: Preparation includes transferring the product from catch bins or boxes into shipping containers, transporting the product to the shipping area, properly weighing, properly completing and affixing correct label to container using SAP, preparing and supplying new or used boxes to the molding presses and stacking finished product correctly on palletSorts and Reworks: Sorting and/or reworking product that does not conform to the customer requirements. Properly documents and labels to identify the status of non-conforming product. Sampling and gaging of reject product may also be required.Assist with relieving other operators with scheduled breaksReads and interprets the manufacturing process instructions, visual aids/drawings (e.g. microscope and magnifying lenses).Responsible for keeping areas neat and clean, follow restriction/rules of fire protection, safety and environmental issuesFollow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheets, work orders and any other special instructions.Proper handling of all material, parts and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product.Employee must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instruction.
