JOB SUMMARY:\ As a clinic nurse your job duties would include assisting providers, rooming patients, setting up for procedures, obtaining patient history, logging medications, prior authorization, patient referrals, and other nursing duties.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Answers patient telephone calls, assessing needs and coordinating needs with providers accomplishing appropriate triage as well as returning calls promptly when unable to take call directly.
  • Pertinent or treatment documentation is charted appropriately in the patients record.
  • Assists providers in the clinic by preparing rooms, and equipment, and during treatment and examination of scheduled, as well as unscheduled patients monitoring patient flow.
  • Directs providers to appropriate protocols of procedure consents, Medicare ABNs, and insurance concerns (i.e. Work Comp, etc.)
  • Notifies providers when patients are ready for examination/treatment, following routine assessment of vital signs and medication list to assure patients are seen in a timely fashion as well as keeping rooms full for a consistent flow of patients.

REQUIRED SKILLS:\ - Computer skills, working knowledge and abilities to use EMR systems and other computer software programs\ - Excellent written and verbal communication\ - Work independently or as a team
