McKee Carbide Tool Division aka: Gasbarre Polisher in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania

*DIVISION:                     *Tool Group            

*POSITION TITLE:        * Polisher 

*REPORTS TO:              *Production Manager

FLSA RATING:              Hourly

This position is located in Philipsburg, PA

BENEFITS-  Competitive wage and benefits package

*GENERAL SUMMARY:     *Responsible for operating polishing tools to achieve desired surface finish.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Repairs and performs maintenance and modifications on existing powdered metal tooling as instructed by supervisor or engineering.
  • Bring part to final dimensions through hand polishing and bench work.
  • Fitting and assembly of tooling components.
  • Intricate detailed handwork is an essential part of this job.
  • Ability to work long periods with headset magnification is required.
  • Working knowledge of blueprint reading and geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing is preferred.

     

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Written and verbal communication

     

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * *HS Diploma or GED or equivalent.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Lifting a maximum of 25 pounds regularly. This job requires extensive amounts of walking, standing, and sitting.
