Responsibilities

TRC is a global consulting firm providing environmentally advanced and technology-powered solutions for the oil and gas, power and infrastructure industry. Backed by 50 years of design know-how, we combine science and applied technology with sound business strategy to solve complex transportation infrastructure challenges for today and tomorrow. Our assignments include small and medium-sized bridges, culverts, railroad grade separations, viaducts, and major water crossings in both rural and urban environments. TRC is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspection Manager to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection Practice in Pittsburgh and throughout Pennsylvania (statewide). The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of transportation construction experience including experience working on PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, highway and/or bridge projects is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities: Managing Construction Inspection Staff Monitoring and documenting construction work. Commute mileage and on the job, mileage paid as per the state regulations and at the federally approved rate. Lodging reimbursed as per the state regulations if overnight stays are required. Pay is based on qualifications, certifications, and experience. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements (One of the following): One (1) year minimum PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor (TCIS-2) or higher, and has all three (3) certifications: PENNDOT Concrete Technician Certification, NECEPT Field Technician Certification and NICET Level III Certification or higher in Highway Construction, only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval. One (1) year minimum PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor 2 (TCIS-2) or higher, and has attained NICET Level IV Certification in Highway Construction, only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval and either PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification or NECEPT Field Technician Certification. Three (3) year minimum PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor 1 (TCIS-1) or higher, and has two (2) of the following three (3) certifications: PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification, NECEPT Field Technician Certification, or NICET Level III Certification or higher in Highway Construction, only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval. Eight (8) years minimum of transportation, highway or bridge construction inspection supervision/management experience and has either PennDOT Concrete Technic an Certification and NECEPT Field Technician Certification OR NICET Level IV Certification in Highway Construction, only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval. Twelve (12) years minimum of transportation, highway or bridge construction inspection supervision/management experience acceptable to the Department. Required Skills: Computer Proficiency. Active driver's license. Preferred Skills: Client Requested certifications, including: NICET Level 3 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction. NECEPT-Bituminous and Concrete Field Technician.
