Primary Responsibilities The primary duties of the Corrosion Control Specialist will be the design and/or installation of corrosion systems in transit/railroad projects. The individual will be hands on in preparing specifications, drawings, reports and other design documents. They should also have knowledge of stray current corrosion control, cathodic protection, grounding, interference, and traction power distribution systems. In addition to the Corrosion Control Specialist duties listed above this individual will also be required to be knowledgeable about traction power including design production and technical leadership for rail systems projects. Specific responsibilities include design, technical leadership of specific design packages as well as coordinating the assembly of plans and specifications. They must be technically competent, with recognized rail specialization that resolves problems of significant scope and complexity. *LI-MR1 Qualifications Required Qualifications 20 years of equivalent experience in the installation and maintenance of corrosion control systems. Experience in design and/or construction oversight from design to construction completion of transit projects involving complex corrosion control layouts and installation is a plus. The candidate should have excellent ability to interpret design drawings to resolve inter-disciplinary design conflicts, coordination with utilities other disciplines for space proofing of equipment.
