PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Provide supervision and training of clinical staff to ensure delivery of quality services to the patient.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary and ancillary support staff in the provision of mental health services to patients.

  • Provide daily administrative oversight to the team, with technical supervision of licensed clinical staff exercised in accordance with scope-of-practice guidelines.

  • Provide care coordination as needed to patients to ensure the coordination of care and to facilitate access to needed services.

  • Review case records for completeness, consistency, and quality of services provided including application of proper techniques; ensures compliance with state and federal mandates.

  • Assist in planning, developing, and implementing mandatory and discretionary programs in accordance with applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations by determining type and level of services to be provided; measure of quality-assurance to be employed; and formulating and carrying out policies and procedures.

  • Review and assess client treatment plans, including short- and long-term goals. Review clinical records to evaluate the necessary level of patient care.

  • Complete required paperwork including intake forms, progress notes, treatment plans and discharge summaries

  • Document and maintain client contacts, care coordination, crisis/consult contacts, and community contacts according to ethical standards and organizational protocols.

  • Conduct treatment plan review as required.

  • Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
