DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities: The Strategy Director works closely with senior leadership to develop and execute IHG's corporate strategy, including multi-year strategic plans and roadmaps. The role plans, analyzes, recommends, and executes organizational strategies and corporate initiatives and operational planning.

As an internal consultant, the role helps to ensure strategic initiatives from business units roll up into integrated enterprise strategy and drives collaboration of strategy leads to ensure business strategies line up with enterprise strategy. This includes leading annual processes to coordinate the governance of corporate strategic priorities, providing creative insights to help identify, clarify, and resolve complex issues critical to organization's strategic success.

Constantly and systematically monitors external environment, competition, and industry trends, and leverages insights to identify market opportunities, assess potential scenarios, and make strategic recommendations. Collaborates across functions to ensure the coordinated execution of corporate strategy initiatives.

  • Provides and evaluates hypothesis-driven analyses and growth opportunities
  • Acts as internal consultants to business units
  • Drives strategy execution, including tracking major initiatives and reporting to key stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Facilitates strategic planning working and design sessions
  • Crafts executive-level strategic planning documents
  • Helps to lead the design and delivery of a comprehensive communication plan
  • Communicates corporate strategy and multiple project components, translating into clear enterprise-wide understanding, compelling recommendations, and solutions
  • Ensures execution, alignment, and integration of project goals to stakeholders at all levels
  • Facilitates activities across the functional and business teams to scope corporate projects, identify resource requirements, determine interdependencies, articulate deliverables, and develop project milestones and timelines
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and work closely with key stakeholders at all levels to ensure strategic success

Qualifications  * Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree, such as an MBA, MHA, MPH, MS, MPH preferred * Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare industry, specifically in healthcare insurance or payor operations * Minimum of five years of post-graduate work experience in strategy, consulting or strategic planning function * Preferred some experience in a consulting environment (i.e. strategy consulting firm, or in an internal consulting capacity) showing progressive advancement and a record of achievement * Extensive expertise in developing new strategies and business models * Experience in implementation and execution of large system-wide initiatives and processes * Excellent leadership, influence and people management skills * Strong project management skills * Strong analytical skills, with the capability to structure and oversee sophisticated hypothesis-driven analyses and find right value propositions * Excellent verbal and written communications skills that effectively convey complex issues and package insights in a compelling manner to differing stakeholders * Strong executive communication skills and experience working closely with senior leadership * A self-starter, confident, results-oriented mindset, and disciplined execution to meet and exceed set targets * Ability to work in a matrixed environment  * Strong critical thinking

Hybrid Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be perfor ed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
