Job Type Full-time Description

Provide opportunities for individuals receiving services to direct their own recovery process Teach, coach, and motivate, individuals in the acquisition and utilization of skills needed to facilitate their recovery Educate and accompany individuals around available service options and choices such as Literacy classes, GED, Employment, Volunteerism, Social Activities Promote and introduce the use of natural resources through normal venues of interest Facilitate the development of a sense of wellness and self worth Provide warmline cell phone coverage on a rotating basis. Escort individuals from HOPE & Welcome Center to medical appointments, hospitals, food bank, DPW, shelter/housing etc. Help in Welcome Center to transport people to services identified/needed

Requirements

B.A. in human service field and 2 years of mental health direct care experience, which include 60 hours of psychiatric rehabilitation training or 2 years of experience in psychiatric rehabilitation; or an associate degree or equivalency and 4 years of mental health direct care experience, which must include either 60 hours of psychiatric rehabilitation training or 2 years of experience in psychiatric rehabilitation; H.S. plus 3 years mental health/psych rehab experience; CPS certification plus 2 years mental health/psych rehab experience.

  • Note: Current staff will have an opportunity to obtain training and experience within a 1 year time period.

O Valid PA driver's license O Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Word. O Knowledge (or willingness to learn about) community resources in Philadelphia area. O Willingness to work flexible work schedule to include some evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.

Salary Description $17-$17.75 hourly
