Overview

Electric Boat -  is seeking Production Planners who are ready to work in a fast paced production environment performing planning and production control functions in support of QP operations departments.

Candidates must be highly motivated, self-starters who are task oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Monitoring construction schedules Controlling work orders/packages (plan ERs, MEPs, NCR, fixtures, consumables material, production material, etc.) Assisting Operation Supervisors in identifying and prioritizing shop/work cell capacity Collecting and reporting status of job progress (agendas) Reporting close-out/completion of jobs Maintaining electronic work package status Performing tactical problem solving This position is located at the Rhoads facility in Philadelphia, PA. These are 1st & 2nd shift positions. This position may be eligible for a Relocation Package

Qualifications

Required: These are 1st and 2nd shift positions. Candidates must be available for & willing to work 1st or 2nd shift. Proficiency in MS Office Suite HS Diploma Previous planning or equivalent experience Internal candidates must be from organizations outside of Operations (Casciano/Gabriel) Preferred: Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred Planning experience in a manufacturing environment Military/Navy experience A working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning principles and systems awareness of EWP/PCM/ APICS involvement is a plus Familiarity with construction, packaging, outfitting of sub-assemblies, and major units of manufacturing work is desired
