First-Level Supervisor of Software Development Engineers, responsible for developing reporting and automation to inform and run the business; perform commercial software development; develop data visualizations using Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), PowerPoint, Presto, Starburst Data Mesh, Databricks, Tableau Prep, Alteryx, and UI software; partner with business units to determine requirements for metrics and reporting, and assist in designing solutions that meet those needs; ensure effective utilization of enterprise tools and platforms, and optimize solution performance; translate business objectives into solutions, and provide feedback on data visualizations; collaborate with stakeholders to develop interactive data visualization experiences that meet the organization's business objectives, while advancing data visualization positioning and information-based decision making; track and assign project tasks; develop and administer performance standards for the organizational unit; lead a team, including managing a team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees, mentoring employees, and coordinating software projects; provide subject matter guidance to employees as required; develop processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies and assist in the development and meeting of departmental budget; manage all the deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets; implement performance metrics and prepare periodic reports; ensure all engineers keep current with technological developments within the industry; develop proposals, hardware, and software; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, any Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing data visualizations using Tableau and SQL; of which three (3) years include experience in commercial software development; and of which two (2) years of experience include using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).*
