Clarivate Analytics (US) LLC Lead Product Manager - R&D Solutions in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 126515-1 The Lead Product Manager for R&D Solutions, is the "CEO" in charge of discovering, developing, and growing new business intelligence solutions for the R&D community. In this role the PM will be focused on growing our chemical search toolkit product which chemical R&D professionals use to perform advanced chemical structure search against patent and scientific content.

The successful candidate must possess strong customer engagement, strategic,leadership,analytical, communication, and technical skills as they lead, and partner with, their teammates to solveclients' problems.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

Bachelor's degree in a chemistry-related field, computer science, business, finance, economics, analytics, law, or a related field or equivalent relevant work experience

5+ years in a product management, product owner, or related role interfacing with customers and products.

2+ years working with a customer-facing, cloud-based, Software-as-a-Service vendor

It would be great if you also had...

Experience working with Intellectual Property, developing or supporting software for legal or IP professionals

Chemical industry experience working with cheminformatics, chemical taxonomy, and classification

Experience with the Salesforce CRM, JIRA, and Confluence

Knowledge of Pendo (or similar analytics tools)

What will you be doing in this role?

Create compelling visions and directions for a product

Setting a vision and north star outcome for the use case and problem that you own

Aligning with buyer and customer needs to set a product strategy

Driving the setting of product objectives, OKRs, and KPIs that align with customer value

Working backwards to identify pathways and milestones toidentify MVPs and versions, and advance the current product forward, wherever it may be in the product lifecycle

Completing all of the bullets above utilizing customer and market data that has been gathered and analyzed

Execute an outcome- and impact-driven product development cycle

Nurturing deep customer engagements and relationships to draw out and validatemarket insights and problems

Partnering with consulting or services businesses to source new ideas, refine user requirements, test prototypes, and automate manual tasks via your solutions.

Engaging with a multi-functional squad to identify hypothetical solutions and bring forward constraints related to value, experience, feasibility, and viability.

Leading rapid experimentation and data-gathering to address risky assumptions in discovery

Leading rapid MVP build and iteration towards achieving product-market fit and scaled growth

Refining and iterating on features and solutions constantly, leveraging customer and community feedbackthroughout

Prioritizing a roadmap of epics to represent the best possible opportunities to solve strategic objectives for customers and drive KPI targets

Managing a prioritized backlog of tickets to define the squad's development activities, including writing user story tickets with acceptance criteria, logging bug tickets reproducible and expected behaviors, and grooming and planning tickets with the squad as part of sprint cycles. Comfortable working within an Agile framework.

Providing context and clarification to the squad as tickets are groomed, executed, tested, and accepted

Sharing key user stories and efforts in development with relevant GTM and customer support teams to help them communicate and drive adoption of new enhancements to customer community.

Lead and partner with a multi-functional squad

Driving team-building efforts for the cross-functional development squad to increase levels of trust and communication.

Establishing with the squad a strong chemistry and cadence for development, cognizant of the business goals and the team's strengths

Forging a strong relationship with the tech and UX leaders on the squad to jointly steer the squad towards continuous improvement and success.

About the Team The PM will be part of the larger Patent Intelligence, Search, and Analytics product team, collectively growing Clarivate's solutions to support corporations, law firms, and government patent and trademark agencies in developing, protecting, and investing in their intellectual property.

Full time, permanent

This is a hybrid role working 2-3 days a week in any of our Clarivate offices in the United States or Europe
