Brown and Caldwell has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Leader to join our Industrial Water (IW) technical practice. This position will focus on expanding our well-known brand in the marketplace as a best-in-class solutions provider for management of landfill liquids, developing our waste industry client accounts, as well as helping develop technical solutions to address our industrial client's most complex challenges. This role will provide technical leadership and client service management to develop and communicate the ways in which BC differentiates our services, brand, technology, regulatory, and business (e.g., contractual and risk management) strategies to create comprehensive solutions for our clients. The ideal person for this position is strong technically with a primary focus in IW treatment with the ability to apply those tools in the Solid Waste market sector, specifically landfill liquids. *This position will primarily work virtually and can be filled near any BC office. Detailed Description: The primary role of this position is to develop and/or expand client business leveraging BC Client Service Teams' (CSTs) expertise to advance innovative ideas throughout the Industrial Water (IW) technical practice within our Private Sector Business Unit (PSBU). The expectation is that the successful candidate is or will become a nationally recognized leader in the IW practice and Solid Waste market sector through innovation, thought leadership and market visibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding business, regulatory, and technical strategies to advance innovative solutions with an understanding of our full range of services to meet and deliver on our clients' greatest needs.  Through sales and delivery involvement with clients, this person will help our CSTs develop, win, and deliver new work/opportunities.  This position will work with BC's Technical Services to execute the company's technical strategies including innovation and research (e.g., related to emerging contaminants such as PFAS and 1,4 Dioxane).  Specific responsibilities include the following: Coordinate and work with staff to enhance and further develop client business with current and future BC clients. Guide engagement of BC's client service and technical teams to define innovation strategies and to better connect solutions and innovations with client needs and opportunities. Coordinate with BC's leaders to guide and coordinate strategies across BC's PSBU to support implementation/delivery of BC's client accounts and to develop new client accounts. Coordinate with IW technical practice leadership to assess and refine technical strategy and direction for innovation priorities. Demonstrate and promote visibility and branding of BC's IW and Solid Waste market talent within BC, with clients and across the industry. Track and maintain fluency with IW innovation efforts applied by BC and used among our competitors, share intelligence gathered, and leverage to inform BC strategies and approach (both within BC and with BC's clients). Desired Skills and Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental work in the Industrial Water industry with progressive responsibilities including technical solution development and business development Visibility within the Industrial Water industry Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Sciences required, Masters or PhD preferred PE license, PG license, or related professional registration preferred Must have a proven track record of working with existing solid waste market clients and developing new clients and projects with ability to deliver those projects successfully, profitably, and to the client's satisfaction. Ability to discern new markets and to develop business in those areas. Technical understanding of the benefits and viabilities of various technology developments Pri r experience working with business managers, communities of practice, coordinating teams, and managing projects and efforts is critical Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
