HVAC Automotive Equip Specialist (0620)

 

We are seeking candidates for the position of HVAC Automotive Equip Specialist (0620)

 

Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs HVAC Systems on SEPTA's bus and rail vehicles.

 

 *Starting Pay Rate: $34.99/hour - After 12 Months: $38.21, based on applicable contract.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Troubleshoots, repair, and maintains vehicle climate control systems, repairs or replaces components as require.

Performs overhauls on HVAC system including removal and replacement of system components.

Performs A/C System refrigerant conversions on vehicle HVAC systems.

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years training at an accredited Technical School or equivalent.
  • In lieu of technical school training, five (5) years practical experience in a related field may be substituted.
  • Must be First Class Qualified Vehicle & Equipment Mechanic.
  • Must satisfactorily complete written qualifications tests specific to this job description and performance tests as required.
  • Must be certified to use and handle refrigerant.
  • Must possess valid driver's license
