Hiring (MT)- Medical Technologist - Chemistry | Philadelphia VA Medical Center

QUALIFICATIONS : The candidate must be a qualified, experienced as Medical Technologist within the last 3 years with current certification by ASCP (MT or CLS), AMT or NCA.

DUTIES : This individual will perform specimen testing primarily in Chemistry . During duty days/hours at the VAMC, the contractor shall be fully committed to VA patients and under the direction/supervision of the Supervisor of Lab Section assigned. The contract individual is expected to devote the time necessary to deliver the highest quality services to the VA patients.

CLINICAL TASKS/DUTIES : Principal responsibilities involve performing testing on blood and body fluids in Chemistry primarily but if needed in Microbiology, VA will request specific specialty. Maintain congenial relationships with all VA staff. Participate in testing areas as assigned by the Supervisor of the Section working.

Training/Orientation : Training will be conducted under the supervision of the Supervisor of Anatomic

Shift: Day - 8am-4:30 PM
