*Summary: *We are seeking a full-time General Manager to join our team at WinKitchen, an Asian street food restaurant located at F Terminal at the Philadelphia, International Airport. The General Manager holds the pivotal responsibility for ensuring the overall success and smooth operation of the establishment. This role encompasses various responsibilities, including fostering a positive work environment to boost employee morale and job satisfaction. *Duties and Responsibilities *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Responsible for ensuring staff compliance with government regulations, company policies, WinKitchen procedures/brand standards, and MarketPlace (airport) policies.
  2. Ensures that staff greets customers in a cheerful, friendly, and helpful manner.
  3. Resolves any customer complaints or service issues not resolved by the supervisors.
  4. Consult with the Business Unit Manager regarding any unresolved staff issues and/or customer complaints.
  5. Conducts pre-shift meetings to inform the staff of the restaurant's goals, product information, changes to food preparation formulas or other procedures, marketing promotions, and other pertinent information as well as delegating tasks.
  6. Adheres to and ensures compliance with the company's cash handling policies. This includes verifying cash register draws and making changes. Responsible for performing the cash handling/management duties; preparing bank deposits; and serving as primary contact for armor car service.
  7. Assists with ensuring that the cleaning task lists, and the maintenance procedures as outlined in the Standard Operations Manual are completed.
  8. Maintains a safe and sanitary environment on the front line, prep area, and food storage areas.
  9. Ensures that the temperature (morning and evening) and waste logs are properly completed.
  10. Inspect equipment regularly to ensure that equipment maintenance schedules are followed.
  11. Records and ensures that employee and complimentary meals are in the POS system.
  12. Responsible for the receipt of inventory orders. Must reconcile delivery with orders, enter received inventory into the POS, and file delivery packing slips.
  13. Generate invoices for airline vouchers and catering orders.
  14. Weekly, counts, reconciles, and records inventory quantities.
  15. Analyzes sales data to make recommendations for promotions and make decisions regarding scheduling/staffing.

     

  16. Submits Weekly Inventory Sales Reports, as scheduled.

  17. Prepares report for MarketPlace (Badging, Workforce Analysis & Sales).
  18. Prepares and posts weekly staff work schedules for utilizing sales data while adhering to the designated payroll budget. This includes addressing any requests for schedule changes.
  19. Approve and submit payroll timecards to the corporate office by 9:00 a.m. biweekly on Wednesdays. Approve Time of Requests weekly and maintain attendance records.
  20. Oversees the catering order process. This includes ensuring that inventory and staff are available to fulfill orders; providing responses to clients regarding order fulfillment and pricing; and assigning staff to prepare and/or deliver orders.
  21. Inform the Business Unit Manager of any inventory needs or maintenance issues.
  22. Make hiring decisions.
  23. Oversees the new hire orientation process. This includes submitting new hire information to HR, scheduling badging appointments, fingerprinting appointments, and scheduling new hire training.
  24. Ensure that all new hires complete the Workplace Harassment Training in the Paychex Flex Learning portal within 30 days of hire.
  25. Coordinates the scheduling of perfo mance improvement, product information, ServSafe, and Secret Shopper training(s). Also responsible for ensuring that the completed training(s) is recorded in the employee's personnel files (contact HR).
  26. Maintains company bulletin board. This includes internal posting of job opportunities, updated Federal and State labor posters, and employee benefit information.
  27. Completes paperwork, performs administrative duties, and assists with product orders as needed.
  28. Assists with planning special events and promotions.

     

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

*Education/Experience: *An Associate degree or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in the food service industry and/or Quick Serve Restaurant (QSR) experience is required. Previous supervisory experience is required.

*Specialized Training and Other Requirements: *Must maintain a ServSafe Manager certification. Must complete part I and part II of the Workplace Harassment Training for Employees and Managers within two weeks of hire. Also, must complete additional training as required by MarketPlace. TSA security clearance is required. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

*Supervisory Responsibilities: *Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Manages two to four front-line supervisors (team managers) and a staff consisting of up to 10-15 employees.

Responsibilities include assisting with the selection of new employees and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
