General Job Description:

This is full performance stores work receiving, storing, issuing and ordering materials, automotive, marine parts, supplies and a variety of items for the Office of Fleet Management. Employees perform a storekeeping function in a Fleet departmental stores area. Work involves medium to heavy physical effort and may entail unpleasant working conditions. Employees are supervised by a Fleet Stores Supervisor.

 

The Requirements are as follows:

1. EDUCATION: Completion of the twelfth school grade.

AND

2. EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience receiving, storing, issuing or ordering automotive or truck equipment, materials, parts and supplies in a computerized parts inventory environment.

NOTE: Current certification by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in the automotive parts specialty area may be substituted for the general experience requirement.
