The Opportunity:

Our team of strategic advisors sits at the heart of a global EY real estate network that delivers high quality advice through every phase of the real estate and M&A lifecycle. You will leverage EY's global network to support various account teams and M&A advisors on major transactions to tackle some of the largest and most complex corporate real estate and workplace challenges facing our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities:

To be effective in CRE, you need to be able to make intelligent and informed decisions about people, place, and technology, during major M&A and divestiture engagements, or during corporate transformations. You will be an important part of our diverse, talented, and highly experienced team and work at the forefront of high-profile corporate real estate engagements.

As a Director within EY Parthenon CRE Transactions, you will spend your days working on strategic and / or operational corporate real estate issues, while working with practice leadership and client management to deliver innovative solutions. A Director should have broad knowledge of at least three core CRE consulting disciplines - including CRE operating model and organizational design, CRE support for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) / Divestiture transactions (pre-deal due diligence, integration support, and separation support, post close support), portfolio, occupancy strategy, and CRE IT / digital workplace strategy. This knowledge should be grounded in a passion for solving complex and often ambiguous client challenges. You will manage and execute projects across all sectors, supporting our client service teams across a national practice.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Execute buy-side and sell-side client engagements.

  • Lead teams through transaction advisory engagements, including pre-deal due diligence, integration support and/or separation support.

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of the transaction lifecycle, including activities from diligence to sign to close.

  • Demonstrate strong financial modeling skills and ability to analyze real estate KPIs, benchmarks and operational trends.

  • Understand standard lease language and common terminology.

  • Understand legal entity implications in an integration and separation environment e.g. - lease assignments, asset transfers.

  • Understanding of common transition services agreements pertaining to real estate and the use of space.

  • Develop innovative approaches to completing scopes of work.

  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues.

  • Inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members and use current technology/tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.

  • Develop presentation materials, briefings, scorecards, and implementation documents.

  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products. Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients.

  • Manage the creation of proposals, presentations and other client-facing materials and deliverables.

  • Communicate EY's point of view on relevant and current CRE topics and trends.

  • Analyze and draw insights from complex data sets.

  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports.

To qualify you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, Architecture, Business, Finance, or other business-related field and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field/discipline is preferred.

  • Supporting business development and driving delivery of strategic projects for clients in the field of corporate real estate and transactions.

  • Knowledge and experience in at least three of the corporate real estate transaction services disciplines of buy-side and/or sell-side due diligence, integration, divestiture, as well as portfolio, and occupancy strategy.

  • Experience supporting project management activities, such as resource planning, schedule development, engagement pricing, and budget management.

  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills.

  • Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.

  • Experience leading and managing teams and projects in complex business environments.

  • High proficiency with the MS Office Suite of Products (including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint).

  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Prior professional services or management consulting experience, particularly in an M&A, divestiture, or transaction advisory role.

  • Professional accreditation in real estate, construction, project management and process improvements, such as PE, PMP, CCIM, QCPR, MCR, SLCR, CPM and Lean Six Sigma.

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $109,600 to $228,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
