Position Summary

Staff/Senior Accountant- ERP Implementation

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, ERP implementation initiatives, full cycle accounting experience including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Purchase Orders, Sales and Use tax, Bank Reconciliations, etc

Responsibilities

• Ability to navigate MS Dynamics (preferably SL) proficiently

• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives which includes support during the ERP conversion period

• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

• Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

Qualifications

• 3+ years' of professional accounting experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience

• Previous experience working with Microsoft Excel with moderate to advanced formulas

• Quality experience with Sales Tax

• Wide ranging experience with cash management

• Good understanding of Microsoft Dynamics (SL preferably)

• General understanding of SAP (preferred, not required)

• General familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in revenue recognition

• Practical knowledge of cash applications

• Proven knowledge of US GAAP

• Journal entries experience

• Experience with financial statement preparation

• Accrued Expenses experience

• Knowledge of general ledger

Travel Requirements: As needed to meet service-level requirements and for required business meetings

Salary range $35-$39/hr W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
