Engineer 4, Software Development & Engineering

Provide technical leadership in developing software for CPE (Customer Process Equipment) products using the RDK software suite; use C and C++, ELK stack, WiFi technologies, and the following networking technologies: TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and IPv6; write scripts and debug issues in Linux OS; work with the DOCSIS standard; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; work with QA team to reproduce field issues in a test environment; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; provide weekly reports to senior management; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers.

*REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing software for Customer Process Equipment (CPE) products using the RDK software suite; of which three (3) years include using C and C++; writing scripts and debugging issues in Linux OS; using ELK stack, WiFi technologies, and the following networking technologies: TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and IPv6; and of which one (1) year includes working with the DOCSIS standard.
