McKean is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support the design and development of new technologies for U.S. Navy Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HMandE) programs. This is an exciting new opportunity to support future Naval ship programs in the area of Control Systems development. Duties may include the following: - Computer program development for systems Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) tools and infrastructure in accordance with the Navy's System Engineering Process (SEP). - Developing C++, Java, and Python code for controls algorithms and Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs). - Support development work with Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Amazon Web Services (AWS), PostgreSQL, and other SQL databases, and work on embedded platforms. - Provide network and design documentation support. - Support management of large system log data sets and facilitate interoperability and integration of other control and machinery plant systems. - Develop, plan, schedule, and execute test plans and procedures for DevSecOps systems and hardware design. - Perform configuration management of all tasks. - Provide support during the Information Assurance (IA) accreditation process. - Provide systems integration support including documentation and development of new interfaces, reviewing technical information for impacts, designing human-machine interfaces (HMI), designing test tools, and testing software updates. - Perform software loads on Windows, VMWare, and Linux processors Potential Travel may be required at 5-10% Software development using C++, Java, and Python. Familiarity developing system and software requirements. Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP). Ability to follow software design and development processes, and lead software reviews. Demonstrated interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies. Ability to provide effective solutions to technical challenges. Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics Minimum of 3 years professional experience in computer design, software development, or systems engineering Experience with control systems engineering, specifically on maritime or naval applications, a plus. Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts a plus. Candidates for this position must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
