Job Description

The Data Analytics Analyst provides analytical and data ownership support to Strategic Sourcing staff in the Global Supply Chain and GPO organization for the approximately $19B in global spend. The position requires strong technical and reporting skills in the areas of data analysis, research, and project management. Activities include- identifying key performance and business indicators, generating customized and/or standard ad-hoc reports and datasets, and performing item and pricing analysis. The analyst will work with existing data and/or obtain additional data as required. The analyst will also support the identification, implementation, and refinement of Best Practices with respect to data reporting across the Global Supply Chain and GPO organization. This role includes a combination of recurring responsibilities and independent project-based work.

Position Reports to: Data Analytics Specialist, Global Supply Chain & GPOs

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support and utilize problem solving capabilities to generate ad hoc or standard reports/dashboards to the Strategic Sourcing organization, supplier community, and internal Aramark departments

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Global Supply Chain and GPO data, Aratrack, Aramark AP, and PURS systems; utilize tools including, but not limited to Power BI, Cognos Query Studio, Aqua Data Studio and SQL to develop spreadsheets, reports, and analysis.

  • Independently partner with Contract Owners and their Supervisors to scope and manage the delivery of procurement data and analytical projects

  • Possess the ability to communicate and interact with Strategic Sourcing staff along with Global Supply Chain and GPO team members as required

  • Probe further into contract related data based on direction and hypotheses from Contract Owners

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Strategic Sourcing data reporting subject matter expert for the Global Supply Chain and GPO organization and other Aramark departments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree (or proven successful business experience) in business administration, marketing or a related field

  • 2-3 experience in analysis, sales, research or marketing

  • Requires high proficiency with Excel.

  • Experience with Tableau and Salesforce preferred.?

  • Proficient with major Microsoft Office tools.

  • Requires strong analytical and communication skills and program/project management capabilities

  • Highly collaborative team-player, with the ability to work effectively independently

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Exceptional verbal and communication skills

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing work conditions and priorities

  • Experience in the food industry a plus
